Scidb is supporting various chess variants, currently this is:

In all chess variants Chess 960 and also Shuffle Chess positions are supported.
For chess variants Crazyhouse and Three-check Chess Scidb is using required extensions for FEN (⇒ Forsyth-Edwards-Notation).
